Google Buzz For Mobile Phones
Lots of have heard in the news over the last week or so how much Google Buzz is going to change the face of social networking. Taking the lead from the likes of Facebook and Twitter, Google have launched their own social networking site. They assure us that this is going to be a massive rival to the features and functions already on offer by the current popular social networking websites.
Integrated with your Google Mail accounts they have already started to roll this out to its current GMail users with invitations to get Buzz added to your account when you log in.
It basically blends your current G Mail contact list and emails with the standard features from social networking, allowing you to share photos, status updates and more.
What they have also done is made this available via their mobile phone application Google Maps 4 (available in the Android Market)
You can access the Buzz feature in two ways. Either within Google Maps, or just by directing your mobile phone web browser to the buzz.google.com site.
This allows you to post information for places, not just your current GPS location, as well as read Buzz posts by other people and make reply comments.
So, For example, you can post a Buzz about a local restaurant and then when your friends have replied you can view in GMail, the Buzz site, or in Google Maps.
It seems to be a real way to blend your mobile phone, your email and your social networking needs to make everything accessible from one place.
