Top Windows Phone 7 apps to watch out for

In the run up to the release of a massive new phone like Windows Phone 7 we eagerly anticipate what we might be letting ourselves in for. With the iPhone and Blackberry phones having a ridiculous number of apps available to use, we’ve been investigating what the Windows Phone 7 has to offer on the app front. Here are some that we can’t wait to use…

Graphic.ly

This nifty little app is handy for any comic book fans and shows off the brilliant zoom capabilities. This app will let you zoom in and out of images without affecting the performance – very handy for viewing digital comic books for example.

Colourizer

A photo editing tool that you can use to create funky colour effects amongst other photo editing options. Add colour to black and white photo’s, or just parts of the photo to create unique works that can be uploaded to Facebook or any photo sharing site.

Shazam

This app for the Windows Phones is the same variety as the app available on Blackberry and iPhones and users can put the app to work by letting it identify millions of songs, just by hearing them. Very handy for when you hear a song that you just can’t place (and stays in your head all day long).

Marionette

This fun little app allows you to create your own avatars, which come with big heads and can talk, and which more entertainingly you can bounce all around the phone’s screen. Not particularly useful, but fun nonetheless.

AP Mobile

This is the app for those who want news on the go and is the launching point for news stories from the Associated Press, so you can keep to up to date on any developments and you can also link to Digg and comment on stories that are released.

Major League Soccer

Yes, we know it says soccer but we’re really hoping that they make one for UK football as well. When Microsoft showed the demo of this app, it showed the user getting a push notification when his team scored a goal and then let them click on a notice to get more information on the game, oh and you can also view streamed videos of the goals. Here’s hoping Microsoft develop this one for all you football fans!
